- Bake cookies. It’s been far too long.
- Forego so much as new socks and go all Dave Ramsey on our credit card’s ass.
- Haul my sleepy bones out in the fresh air and give my work-out shoes a run (ha!) for their money.
- Cultivate gratitude.
(For the first snowfall of the year, the air dancing white;
For a washing machine up to the repeated challenge of sick days;
For beauty growing wild out of old hurts;
For sugar-dusted sunsets lingering one minute closer to spring.)
What about you? Any dear little challenges to keep February on its toes?

I love your list. :-) I came online today hoping you had written something to give me courage, and you have. Thank you. :-) Honestly, this month I’m just trying to keep from being a constant puddle of hurt and tears as I work through painful situations with various family members and others from my past. I feel like Bilbo described in Lord of the Rings: “butter scraped over too much bread.” But I’ll make it. I must make it. :-)
Too much to list, unfortunately, and probably too much to get done anyway. I love this post…and I love you too!
Oh, and I forgot to send Krista up there a big hug. It sounds like she needs one!
i lovelovelove this.
Oh Krista, I feel for you, friend. (And doesn’t that Bilbo quote sum so much up perfectly?) I owe your blog a long and lingering visit. Until then, warm and hopeful vibes aplenty.
Megsie – Okay, time to come out with it. You’re Superwoman, yes? You utterly amaze and inspire me, and your February resolutions could probably eat mine for lunch. :) Love you too.
Beka – :) :)
So FAR from superwoman. Is there in antithesis? That is me.
